Parking
Birmingham Airport Parking has a wide arrangement of facilities to offer when using the Birmingham Airport for both business and pleasure. Traveling through Birmingham Airport will be speedy and worry-free with the comfort of knowing that there is on-site security to ensure the safety of your vehicle and free shuttles 24 hours a day.
Drop and Go car parking is just a minute’s walk from the terminals and parking for 15 minutes is ₤1.
Short or Medium Stay parking is just a couple of minutes walk from the terminals. These are multi-storied and set beside the buildings of the terminals. They have regular security and are accredited by Park Mark.
Long-stay parking is about 10 minutes away from the terminals while official Valet Parking is about a minute away.
Entertainment
There are several bars and restaurants available within Birmingham Airport and nearby Birmingham Airport parking. Some are before security, some are located within the departure lounge, some can be found in both, while others are found in the Arrival area.
Those located before the security check are: Espresso, Frankie and Benny’s, Posh Deli, and Upper Crust.
Those found in Departure are: Soho Coffee Co. and Yates.
Those that are located in the area before the Security check and at the Departure area are: Burger King and Wetherspoon.
Some are found in various locations all over the Birmingham Airport such as Costa and Pret A Manger.
Internal transport
Birmingham Airport has several lifts or elevators available all over the facilities. These lifts can carry wheelchairs and perambulators for the disabled and very small children. Access to airport wheelchairs may be availed of upon request. The lifts are within easy access of key areas such as shops, parking facilities, washrooms and waiting areas.
During inclement weather, the walkway between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 is a very convenient way to get from one terminal to the other. The two terminals are located right next to each other and the walkway connecting it is covered.
Birmingham Airport parking facilities have lifts, escalators, and stairs that lead to the ground level.
Departure lounges
Located within the Birmingham Airport in departure lounge in Terminal 1 is the Aviance lounge. It is found subsequent to passport control, and this means that it can only be used by passengers.
The Aviance lounge is open everyday from 5:30 am to 7:00 pm on Saturdays and up to 9:00 pm on the other days. Passengers can always access the lounge up to three hours prior to flight departure. This lounge offers the following facilities and amenities: television, magazines, pay phone, internet access, light snacks, and complimentary drinks. Children and smoking are not allowed within the lounge.
There is also the Terraces lounge which has more or less the same facilities and amenities as the Aviance lounge and are also accessible only to passengers.
