MAPS AND DIRECTIONS
From The North
If travelling from Methyr Tydfil or Pontyprid it is best to join the A470 and head south towards Cardiff. Once within Cardiff turn off onto the A48 heading west. Follow this road and turn off at the A4050 heading south. Keep driving on the A4050 and follow it round until it turns into the A4226. This road will lead drivers directly towards Cardiff Airport and the Cardiff Airport parking facilities.
From The South
Cardiff International Airport is located right on the southern tip of Wales and as a result there are no road connections from the south.
From The West
When approaching Cardiff Airport from the west most drivers will be driving from Swansea. The route from Swansea is fairly easy and to start with drivers must exit the city and head east on the M4 motorway. After travelling along the M4 drivers must turn off at Junction 33 onto the A4232. Follow this road south until you approach Culverhouse Cross Roundabout. Once at this roundabout take the turning for the A4050 which will take drivers further south. Follow the A4050 until it begins to turn westward. At this point the road will become the A4226. The A4226 will lead directly to Cardiff Airport and the Cardiff Airport parking facilities.
From The East
If travelling from the east it is most likely drivers will be heading from the city of Cardiff. Getting to Cardiff Airport from Cardiff is unsurprisingly straightforward. Firstly take the A48 westbound leaving Cardiff. The A48 will eventually lead to Culverhouse Cross Roundabout at which point drivers should take the exit onto the A4050. Follow the A4050 until it turns into the A4226. Eventually the A4226 will lead directly towards Cardiff Airport and the Cardiff Airport parking facilities. These will be clearly signposted.
Domestic flights
Cardiff International Airport has been through a series of ups and downs and many controversies, but thankfully, Cardiff has managed to brave it through. Aer Lingus still flies to Dublin of course, and to Cork, and there are several other airlines, besides Aer Lingus that fly into and out of Cardiff International Airport, too. KLM flies to Amsterdam, and BMI Baby to Belfast International, Edinburgh, Jersey. For routes to Belfast City, Glasgow International or Newcastle International, passengers can fly with Flybe airlines. Passengers bound to Aberdeen and Newcastle can fly with Eastern Airways. Hopefully, the airport will offer more destinations in the future.
