Travelling from the north to East Midlands Airport could not be simpler. The M1 passes straight by the airport and the turning off at Junction 23a onto the A453 allows those travelling on the M1 to access the airport immediately. The M1 is such an extensive road that regardless of where in the north you are leaving from to get to the airport you will be able to access this road. The East Midlands Airport parking options are clearly signposted once you have turned off the M1.

From The South

For drivers travelling from the south to East Midlands Airport, the journey is simple. East Midlands Airport is situated directly next to the M1 and this means any approach to the airport from the south should be made via this major motorway. Follow the M1 north and turn off at Junction 23a onto the A453 and you will arrive at the airport. The East Midlands Airport parking is clearly signposted after the junction.

From The West

When travelling from the west the best road to take is the A50. Simply join this road at any point that is convenient and travel eastbound until you reach the M1. Turn onto the M1 heading southbound and keep driving until you reach Junction 23a. Turn off at this junction onto the A453 and the airport is situated right there. The East Midlands Airport parking facilities are clearly signposted.

From The East

If travelling east from Nottingham to the airport it is best to leave Nottingham on the A453. Follow the A453 past the major junction where the M1 passes. Keep driving on the A453 and when you hit Ashby Roundabout follow the signs to stay on the A453. This will lead you directly to the airport and the East Midlands Airport parking facilities.
