Internal Transport
Transferring from one terminal to another is easy and hassle-free for passengers at the airport. Terminals 1 and 3 are actually very close to each other. Walking from one to the other will only take a few minutes. Both terminals are also near the Heathrow Airport parking facilities. While there are no special means of transportation within a particular terminal, trolleys are available for luggage at the frontcourts and at the Heathrow Airport parking areas. For those who want to transfer from Terminal 4 to 5 and vice versa, free trains and buses are provided. Passengers with connecting flights will have ample time to make connections.
Departure Lounges
Boarding procedures are done in different locations per terminal. In Terminal 1 and 4, it is done on the first floor whilst in Terminal 3, it is at the ground floor and for Terminal 5, it is at the top floor. After arriving and passing through security, passengers can proceed to the departure lounges located in the terminal they need.
If one wants to escape the crowd and enjoy a less hectic atmosphere, proceed to one of the many private airport lounges such as Servisair Executive Lounge, located in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Alternatively, passengers can head to the 4Deck Lounge, located in Terminal 4. All departure lounges are well equipped with shops, snacks and toilets.
